Re-Curing Instructions for Best Results

Follow this guide to help re-cure your items.

  1. Prepare

Take the pieces out of the mailer.

Make sure the glued seams are aligned and pressed flat.

If any edges have lifted during shipping, gently realign them before curing.

  1. Activate the Adhesive

Place the box in a dry, warm environment (room temp is fine; avoid humid/damp areas).

Use gentle pressure to hold seams together while curing. Options:

Place under a heavy book for several hours.

Use a binder clip or clothespin on the glued areas to keep them pressed.

  1. Allow Time to Cure

Let the adhesive sit at least 12–24 hours before putting stress on the seams.

The glue sets fully as the moisture evaporates and the paper fibers bond.

  1. Final Reinforcement (Optional)

If you want extra hold:

Run a thin layer of glue stick or clear craft glue along the inside seam.

Press again and allow to dry fully.

This isn’t always necessary, but it can help if the glue seam to hold better and longer.

  1. Use Promptly

Once cured, they should be used as soon as possible for best performance, rather than stored for long periods.
