Design Story

Inspired by the fine art impressionist technique: impasto, intentionally expressed by artists from Cézanne to Monet. Its textures appear painterly with visible keen strokes directly from the artist’s palette knife. Gives depth and quality. The designer appreciates how this characteristic parallels evenly with the flavor profile and the striking appearance of the vanilla bean ice cream: authentic complexities, translucent poppy-like dark beads promoted by the real specks of the vanilla pod contrasted by the silky, luxurious cream.

Currently, the marketplace for incense envelope packaging offers one-dimensional looks with mere flatness or matte-ness. Most are mass-produced overseas. Material + quality are all too similar with limited customization features: 14 -18 pt matte or glossy lamination composed of factory-produced recycled stock. Although, cost is low there is a high cost given from the stench which reeks of metal, ink, and lightly burnt plastic. Not to mention, possible delays, and tariffs.
