FOCUS SESSION
Choose a short work interval. During the timer, stay with one formulation only: prepare, apply, wait, smell, and record. Avoid opening another formula or changing tasks until the session ends.
PREPARE THE STRIP
Bend the strip at the score line. Hold the paddle so the testing tip remains clean and untouched.
APPLY THE FORMULATION
Dip the tip into a working formulation, or spray onto the testing area from about 15 cm away. Keep application consistent between trials.
WAIT BEFORE SMELLING
Allow roughly 10–20 seconds after application. Use this pause to reset your attention rather than reaching for another task.
SMELL WITH INTENTION
Hold the strip by the paddle about an inch from your nose. Close your eyes if helpful. Sniff, pause, exhale through your nose, then smell again.
